| uprightcitizens.org The Upright Citizens Brigade is a New York based improv and sketch comedy group whose sensibility tends do run to the bizarre and oblique. This site was essentially a central point to show off all their various projects, from street pranks to their Comedy Central TV show, but also needed to reflect their bizarre and oblique sensibilities. "We want an anti-web site," one of them told me, "something you have to wander around and discover." They also wanted to include the collage work by one of their members and were very specific about the size requirements (it had to fill up a 1024x768 screen with the graphical elements). The result is hopefully appropriately oblique but small enough graphically to be loadable over a modem. |
